Carey School Board to Present Building Expansion Plan
The Carey Board of Education voted unanimously to place a school building expansion program on the November ballot after a year of study. Enrollment has risen 21 percent in seven years, with about 30 new pupils per year needing another classroom. The plan totals 580000 dollars, assessed at 29 cents per hundred dollars of property value, equivalent to 2.9 mills, with further announcements expected.
