Francis M Ritter, 19, Seaman 1/c, U S N R, wife Alda Belle Ritter and daughter Sandra Ruth live with his father Clifford Ritter in Carey Ohio. He serves aboard the destroyer transport Kilty, a vessel that has taken part in 28 assault landings and evaded planes and submarines in the Pacific. The Kilty, rebuilt from a World War I destroyer, fought in New Guinea, Guadalcanal, Leyte, Okinawa and more, and Ritter entered the Navy in April 1943 after Carey High School.

Mr and Mrs O Risner and son Herbert visited their son Pfc Wyatt Risner at Percy Jones General Hospital Battle Creek Michigan.
