Wyandot County Plans CROP Wheat Drive
Wyandot county leaders discussed their part in the CROP program at the First Lutheran church in Upper Sandusky. The plan calls for farmers to contribute wheat or money to feed the needy overseas, with 10 bushels per family equaling a year of bread, and trains leaving August 24.

First Wheat Receipts Highlight Carey Area Yields
The Carey Farm Bureau reports two early wheat entries on Thursday July 8 from Krupp and Marshall. Krupp's sample weighed 59 pounds with 13.1 percent moisture yielding 43 bushels per acre, while Marshall delivered 60 test weight No 1 wheat with 13.5 percent moisture yielding 40 bushels per acre. Marshall credits last year’s soybean sacrifice for soil and crop gains and notes 20 acres of corn on muck land showing strong potential.

Forest Man Fined For Illegally Collecting Unemployment
Charles Perry Culp of Forest pleaded guilty to taking unemployment payments while employed. In Mayor Loucks Brown's court in IGENTON he was fined 50 dollars with 30 days jail suspended on repayment of 236 dollars to the state.
