Carey Telephone Company Seeks Local Rate Increase
Wm C Henry of Belleville Ohio states Carey Telephone will file with the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio for a July rate increase. He cites wage hikes totaling 74 705 81 and a 121 percent rise in hourly wages since 1940, with operating costs up 123 percent, outpacing toll revenue growth and subscriber growth since the war.
