Man Suffers Head Injury Unloading Freight at Porcelain Plant
Charles England sustained a head cut and concussion Friday while unloading freight at Porcelain Products Inc. A steel plate slipped from the platform as Dale Weaver and England pushed a four wheeled cart, throwing England into the freight car. He was treated at Findlay Hospital and sent home Monday.

John Wickiser Hurtles To Ground In Parsonage Roof Fall
John Wickiser age 69 of 311 Findlay Street was seriously injured last Thursday at 11 45 am when he slipped on a loose scaffold plank while roofing the First Methodist Church parsonage. He fell 15 feet landing on his head causing neck brain concussion and head lacerations. He was taken to Findlay Hospital in Bristol’s ambulance and remains in serious condition. His son Ira aided him during the work. At the hospital he has a chin strap and neck brace and visitors are restricted until improvement is shown.

Cpl. Ted L. Tucker at an England air service command depot completed maintenance classes to become a proficient mechanic in repairing air corps vehicles. His training covered echelon work on heavy-duty tractors for servicing aircraft used by the 8th and 9th air forces. Tucker, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. Pemberville Water Well Fails To Meet Expectations
Pemberville's new water well for the works plant, finished last week, proved weak with 65 gallons per minute after drilling to 150 feet. The drilling crew then moved to the Ne 1 well, drilling from 200 to 322 feet, but testing showed no improvement, still around 30 gallons per minute. The town faces a potential water supply problem.
