Sgt. Robert B. Kennerley, 23, missing in action since June 24 over Romania, served as assistant aerial engineer and waist gunner on a B 24 Liberator based in Italy. A Lindlay High graduate, he joined the service December 1942 and married Marilyn Doty June 13 1943.
Frances M Galbroner announces she is licensed to write fire and tornado insurance with established companies for former policyholders and new patrons. She thanks past courtesies and commits to continuing trustworthy service in the future.
Alton Kinsinger stationed on Corsica meets Lt William Spackey and Pfe Rex Huston. He recalls a U S O show and magician Otis Manning who performed at the Knotty Pine near Alvada three years ago during Alton’s dancing act. It is a big war and a small world.

The letter from Pvt. Judson Frederick, written June 25, to his mother Mrs. Frank Frederick, notes he has been wounded in Northern Italy. He serves in a machine gun company and was overseas since November. He has two brothers in the Army, and he reports receiving treatment and the Purple Heart.
An 8 pound son was born to Mr. and Mrs Edmund Kin southwest of Carey. Mrs Kin is the former Arlene Mathias. A 7 pound 11 ounce son named Lynn Dale was born June 23 in Findlay hospital to Mr. and Mrs Harold Martin of Mt. Blanchard. Mrs. Martin is Clyde Thomas’s daughter. An 8 pound 6 ounce son was born Monday in Mercy hospital Tiffin to Mr. and Mrs Eugene J Kin of 127 Newhard street. The mother is Mildred Kromer, widow of Paul Kromer, and the father is in the Navy in North Africa. A daughter was born 12 03 a m Monday in Mercy hospital Tiffin to Cpl and Mrs Vernon Prindle of 86 Melmore street. Cpl Prindle is stationed at Camp Shelby Miss. An 8 pound son was born Monday in Findlay hospital to Cpl and Mrs John Fritchie Jr. Mrs Fritchie is Geraldine Simonis. The couple are the daughter and son of Mr and Mrs John Simonis of W Findlay street Carey. Cpl Fritchie serves in the U S Army and is stationed at Camp Simms Washington DC.

Twenty six men from Wyandot County depart Friday July 28 for Fort Hayes Columbus for induction into the armed services. On arrival they will be assigned to a service branch.
