A Crawford Methodist Church Children s Day was held Sunday morning. The program included songs such as Little Feet Be Careful and Jesus Loves Me. Recitations featured A Finished Plan A Prayer My Doll Why We Have Dee Day and A Polite Hint. Performers included Duane Lortz Willis Wentling Sue Harris Roxanna McGarley Jean Davis Rosemary McCarley Eilen Atking Billy McDonald Patty Harris and the congregation sang Sunlight Sunlight. Froelich Family Moves to Sayner Wisconsin
Mr and Mrs William Froelich and their month old daughter Carol Frances have moved to Sayner Wisconsin to establish a home. Mr Froelich runs a grocery store with his father and was discharged January 6 after serving as a recreation officer with the rank of lieutenant. Mrs Froelich formerly Ruth Spackey is a former army nurse corps lieutenant who served two years and was stationed at Thomasville Georgia before discharge.

Bull Attack Damages Plane During Field Landing
A small plane en route from Cleveland to Findlay ran out of gas and landed on the Charles Boyce farm south of Carey. While the pilot sought fuel in Carey a bull in the field charged the aircraft, causing considerable damage before repairs were completed and the flight resumed.

Widow Purchases Brown Home and Sells Vacant Lots
On Saturday June 22 Mrs Frank Zender bought the home of her late parents Mr and Mrs Joseph Brown at High and Frederick streets for 2500. Dave Luxton purchased six vacant lots at Grove and High streets for 600. The property was offered at public sale by John Pahl administrator of Louise Brown's estate.

John Stombaugh injured in fall from automobile
Four year old John Stombaugh son of Mr and Mrs W L Stombaugh of E South street Carey was injured Sunday noon when he opened the right hand car door and fell to the pavement. The car traveling 40 to 45 mph near Tiffin. He sustained two scalp cuts and severe bruises, was treated by a Tiffin physician and returned home, resting well.

Soldier returns home to Carey after discharge

Land Gift Expands Harding Area Scout Camps
Roy V. Whiston presents five acres of woodland by Whetstone River to the Harding Area council Boy Scouts of America. The site joins Mt. Gilead State Lakes Park as an additional campsite for Scouts in Wyandot Marion Morrow and Crawford counties. A lodge is funded by the Mt. Gilead Lions Club and will serve camping and meetings. The camp will be named for a WWII Scout hero from Mt. Gilead Troop 27.

Mr and Mrs Don Kurtz and daughter Marcia spent last week with Mr and Mrs T E Dromgold in Akron while Kurtz disposed of household goods from storage tied to his mother Gertrude Kurtz. They traveled Monday to North Hollywood to stay with Gail Kurtz and family. Don Kurtz a former army air force list lieutenant was discharged mid April and the family has since stayed with Phil Richards in Akron. Marcia turned two in late May.

Messmers Plan Mexican Trip with Zeigers and Family

War department records list 42 Wyandot county men dead or missing in World War II as part of a nationwide tally of 308 978 army personnel. Ohio contributed about 555 000 servicemen with 9 866 killed, 1 566 died of wounds, 4 296 died in service not in battle, 1 082 missing declared dead, and 67 still missing.
