Jacob Louis Blinn born January 28 1866 in anton Stark County Ohio died June 23 1907 aged 41 years 4 months 24 days. He moved to West Independence Ohio as an infant and resided here since. He married Mary A Herbert in 1888 and had one daughter Fern Blinn. He came to Alvada fifteen years ago and ran a respected business and served as village postmaster for eight years. He joined the Episcopal faith in 1897 and died a member of the local class. He leaves a wife a daughter a mother a brother and two sisters and many friends. The funeral was held Wednesday at 2 pm in the M P church in Alvada conducted by Revs Bracknery and Dickey with a large crowd. Floral tributes were sent by many friends and relatives from nearby towns. A long list of friends from Canton Findlay Adrian and other places attended.

Edith Wilker and Margaret Ililty traveled to Lake Side on Monday to attend the Epworth League Institute from July 1 to July 7. They have been chosen as pianists for the Institute.
On June 26 at Sacred Heart Church Rev Father Feiland united Leo Krupp and Miss Katharine Weaver in marriage. Dorothy Weaver served as bridesmaid and Clarence Krupp Sr. as groom’s man. A reception followed at the bride’s home with many relatives from Carey Bucyrus Holgate Continental Garrett Gallup and connection to the Krupp and Weaver families. The couple will spend the week in Carey and Holgate where Mr Krupp is employed as a draughtsman at Torque Dale Manufacturing Co.
Mrs. Wit Sheridan, at eight, injured her eye with a bottle label. Doctors warned years ago that removing the damaged eye might save the good one. Last Saturday at Burnthill Sanitarium the operation was performed successfully and she is recovering as well as could be expected.
