Notice offers a first class West Main street home with six rooms renting for seven dollars monthly. Also a twelve acre tract with timber, tiled rest area offered at sixty three dollars per acre. A loan of fifty thousand dollars at low interest with principal paydown option and interest stop, no commission.
Lightning hit the house of Phillip Reeder on Mrs. D J Wonder's farm near town just after two. The south chimney and roof were damaged and the cistern demolished, with fumes forcing the Reeder family to evacuate. All occupants escaped injury as the house remained insured.
The Findlay Courier notes Arcadia will host a new distillery to manufacture denatured alcohol. Local and visiting citizens show interest. the venture could profit and may appeal to the Carey board of trade. German potato varieties are being introduced elsewhere to grow alcohol feedstock.

He lists 800 acres sown 400 wheat 210 flax 65 70 oats and 170 barley. He mentions good weather and plans to travel to visit John Hindman and possibly Kansas. He notes he weighs 158 pounds.
In Elwood City Indiana a divorce case between a wife and husband on cruelty grounds faced turmoil as a result of an unentered final decree and a later reversal.
