The Carey community mourns Raphael M. Lonsway 72 of Clay street killed at 11 10 a m in a two car collision at Monroe and Bancroft streets Toledo. Five passengers injured include Erhant Elchert and family members from southern Ohio. Lonsway, insurance agent for the State Farm Bureau, died from a crushed chest after being thrown from his overturned car. He lived in Bucyrus before moving to the Carey area in 1915 and was a member of Our Lady of Consolation Church and the Knights of Columbus. burial was at St Marys cemetery north of Carey.
