Seek To Settle With Bond Firm In Logan County Case
An application in Hancock county common pleas seeks court authority to accept 3000 dollars in full settlement of the liability of Massachusetts Bonding and Insurance Co the bondsman for C M Beard former manager of Findlay Savings and Loan. A separate suit for 10188 66 dollars was filed in federal court in Toledo and remanded for lack of jurisdiction. The liquidator says litigation would be long and costly and that the bond would be contested on grounds of warranty breaches and officer failures to comply with bond conditions. Beard was cleared by the state supreme court of misappropriation charges after Findlay Savings and Loan was taken for liquidation on November 27 1933.
