He was born April 1 1910 in Seneca County son of Joseph and Katherine Jacoby. He married Agnes Pahl in 1937. she died in 1966. He married Clara Breneman in 1968 who survives along with sons Joseph Bowing and Michael of Carey step son Paul Breneman Fos toria step daughter Susan Linn Maurice and five step grandchildren brothers Leo and Harvey both of Carey and a sister Mary Magdalene of Carey. A brother is deceased. He worked at Ford Motor Company Fos toria and belonged to Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church Knights of Columbus and United Auto Workers. Services were at 9:30 a m Tuesday January 28 1969 at Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church with Rev Hubert Kobunski officiating and burial in St Marys Cemetery Bristoll Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
