Death of J F Riter is noted in Lima obituary
J F Riter of Lima died after four years of ill health at home after a four week illness. Cerebral hemorrhage and arteriosclerosis caused death. Born 1859 in Shapegek County, he was married to Miss Lemma Gilliland and had three children two of whom died in infancy. Survived by his wife two sisters Mrs Henry England Mt Blanchard and Mrs Feasel and brother George W Riter Findlay. Funeral at local Methodist church with Rev C W Sultzbach officiating. Interment Zion Bloom cemetery. Pallbearers were six nephews Byron England Charles Davis Stanley Riter Wallace Beebe George Gilliland and D V Gilliland.

Drain dig requested for Memorial Evangelical church sewer access
Elza Jacobs sought permission for a church dig to drain standing water from the Memorial Evangelical church basement into Patterson street sewer. The council granted the request, with church members handling the work. Property owners along Main and South streets offered to deed the alley to the town, contributing an 8 foot easement each to create a 16 foot roadway to be town maintained, contingent on all signatures. Mrs Minor Koehler III of north of Upper Sandusky fell ill at midnight Monday and was taken to Findlay hospital Tuesday evening. She underwent a minor operation Wednesday morning and is improving. Carl Young Dead Former Carey Resident Dies in Toledo
Carl Young, born August 12, 1876, died Saturday at his Toledo home 1359 Felt Street. Funeral services by Rev H C Plant were held Monday January 25 at Mohler and Lantz funeral home, with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. He had worked for the New York Central since 1917 after moving to Toledo in 1916.

Car Crash In Fostoria Damages Three Autos
