Senior General Scholarship Tests Set for Jan 28
Twenty two seniors from the class of 1955 will take the Senior General Scholarship Tests in the study hall on Friday January 28. Top 40 percent of the class qualify for state wide testing. Spanish Club Candy Sale Funds Continue Plan

Train Kills Man Injures Wife at Fox Road Crossing
Washington man was killed instantly and his wife Mary Minnich critically injured when their 1950 Chevrolet sedan was struck by a southbound New York Central passenger train at the Fox Road crossing north of Carey at 2:05 p.m. Wednesday. Sheriff’s officers believe the car entered the tracks in poor visibility due to freezing rain. The engine of the car was hurled 171 feet. Mrs Minnich was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital.
