Mothers Raise 907 Dollars for Polio Fund Drive

Coles Take Six Week Western Vacation Adventure
Mr. and Mrs. William Cole and Mrs. Alma Wentling returned home after a six week trip through the west and southwest. They toured Arizona California and Mexico visiting Flagstaff Grand Canyon Hoover Dam Las Vegas San Francisco Los Angeles and many friends and relatives in Carey Ohio areas before arriving back in Cincinnati. The journey covered 15 states and two Mexican cities with stops in Newport Beach Knotts Berry Farm and the Rose Parade viewing in California.

County Music Clinic At Carey High School Saturday
Wyandot County instrumental clinic draws nearly 200 young musicians from area schools to Carey High School for a full day event on Saturday February 5. Students in grades 6 through 9 will perform solos and ensembles for feedback from four judges including Oberlin faculty members. Carey High School reports a large turnout with 50 entries representing most band instruments. The event is free and open to the public, chaired by Lewis Hawk, director of Carey Instrumental Music.

Mrs Rose Ritter Dies After Long Illness
Mrs Rose Mathany Ritter died Sunday morning after a three year illness at her home on Ohio Street. Survived by sons Howard and Russell Ritter of Carey, Garnet Ritter of Louisville, Helen Ritter of Van Buren, Juanita Ritter of Columbus, Paul Ritter of Detroit, Carl Ritter of unknown address, and several grandchildren. A sister and two brothers Reva and Charles of Toledo and Cliff of Cleveland also survive. Funeral services held this afternoon at Worth Clags Funeral Home in Toledo with interment in Willow Cemetery.
