Lt John Byers Awarded Air Medal in England Flight Service

Evening junior canteen sees several chaperones and schedule changes
Mrs Mildred TLonganecker and Mrs Carl Hunter led the junior canteen last Thursday with 7th and 8th graders. Guest chaperons followed on successive evenings and the canteen now opens at 7 30. Ping pong balls are still needed and a wall clock is requested. The committee thanks the Boy and Girl Scout committees for sharing space and support.

Wharton School Board elects officers and hires bus driver

He entered the army on November 25, 1949, and had been home for three years. He went overseas May 3, 1942, serving in North Africa before Italy, and expects to reach Carey in a few days.
