Village council approves bonds and hires new night police
The village council met Monday with Mayor Krebs presiding. Bonds for Earl Briggs and B E Mullholland as night police were approved and sworn in for 1000 dollars each. Several utility and street bills were approved and offices filled. A request to divert street funds to repair roads was denied as no park fund exists. Council adjourned to Tuesday at 7 30.

Adjourned City Council Passes Salary and Appropriation Ordinances
The mayor, clerk and all council members except H G Feasel attended the adjourned session Tuesday evening. Ordinance 228 set the secretary of the board of trustees of public affairs salary at 75 dollars a month, paid semi monthly, repealing Ordinance 294 and amending Ordinance 176. The annual appropriation ordinance was also passed. Council adjourned to meet Monday evening, Jan 25, at 7:00.

Harriet Sarah Stage Baughman born September 3 1850 in Huron County Ohio died January 6 1932 age 81. She moved to Weston Ohio as a child and married Benoa Mitchell then later married George W Baughman April 6 1909 surviving with three stepsons and many grandchildren. Funeral service held at St Paul church south of Vanlue with Rev Herbert Maurer officiating burial in McComb Cemetery.
