The Woman's Society of Christian Service of McCutchenville Methodist Church met last Thursday afternoon with Mrs. Richard Mullholand. Six teen members and two children were present. The meeting was conducted by the president, Mrs. Lester Snyder. Mrs. Edgar Bloom had charge of devotions and was assisted by Mrs. Blanch Stansberry, Mrs. Cletus Roster, Mrs. Arlis Hablitzel and Mrs. Myron Koch. Virgil Spray led the study on "The Changeless Gospel in a Revolutionary Age." There were 22 sick calls and 41 sick cards sent last month. Refreshments were served by Opal Mullholand and Mrs. Koch. Next meeting will be at Mrs. Sprau's home on Feb. 2.

Mrs. Mary Ish, 75, of 922 Mc Dougal Street, Fostoria, died at 10 pm Sunday Jan 8 1956 after a cerebral hemorrhage. Born in Carey Oct 18 1880 she lived there until moving to Fostoria 32 years ago and was married to Willam Ish Sept 15 1899. Survived by four of eight children 20 grandchildren and four sisters. funeral held at Bristol Funeral Home at 2 pm Wednesday with burial in Spring Grove Cemetery.

In Police court last week Judge Clyde Jenkins levied fines and costs for two cases. DC Whitebaker, 63, of reckless driving, was fined $20 with $860 costs cited by Officer Paul F Pahl. George Hampton, 36, of Fostoria, for permitting a minor to drive without a license, was assessed $10 fine and $860 costs. Chief Henry Pieracins supervised.

Missionaries to India to Speak at Christ Church Sunday

Farm tenants moving in on Elm Hill Road south of Carey
Mrs Wright rents 165 acre farm south of Carey to Mr and Mrs Everett Wise who will move in after the house at the Wright farm is vacated. Carey firemen made two runs in the past week. Saturday they were called to the site of Mr and Mrs Dale Myers on Route 15 where a fire in a well digger's outfit destroyed rear tires and a belt and caused a short. Tuesday evening at 655 a run was made to Wayne Brinker's home on W Brown Avenue to a chimney fire with no damage.
