Liberty Airless Tire Company stockholders meet and elect leaders

Several hundred stockholders attended the Liberty Airless Tire Company annual meeting at the plant. Nile Jordan of Cleveland presided while Irvin Jordan, the general manager, addressed the group. Directors elected included Milo Jordan and R. H. Brown. The meeting noted strong production gains, with 12 000 tires made since leadership change, and projected output increasing to 700 tires daily in coming months.

Optometrist Dr. Neu Collects Optometry Degrees

Neu Optical and Jewelry Co. founder Dr. R G B Neu framed degrees earned since 1907 from Philadelphia College of Optics Northern Illinois College Needles Institute of Optometry and OSU board passage. He chaired the 1919 campaign for the optometry law and scored 99 percent on the Columbus exam before Ohio Board certification June 6 1920.

Adjusted compensation drive in Wyandot County

Captain G E Tuttle of Sycamore is named chairman and Anthony Kraus of this city secretary for the Wyandot County adjusted compensation drive. The courthouse farmers reception room hosts the headquarters with application blanks available at American Legion posts in Carey Sycamore Nevada and Upper Sandusky. Blanks will be mailed from Columbus this Saturday and work to fill them out will begin on arrival. Citizens and groups are invited to assist. more details to follow in Monday papers.

Lutheran Banquet Aims to Link Wittenberg College and Church

A Friday evening banquet for Lutheran fathers and sons in the Sunday school room aims to connect Wittenberg College with its Ohio Michigan Indiana territory. Three to four hundred are expected as short addresses by college representatives, with music by a six piece orchestra and college songs featured.

Merle Dow sold the meat market he ran in the rear of Jacob & Sons' grocery to Frank Zender who has worked at E. C. Harshberger's. Mr. and Mrs. Dow plan to move to St. Louis with Mrs. Dow already having left for the city.

Legion Banquet Sets Stage for Post Activity in Carey

Fifty three members of the Earl Green Post American Legion gathered at the Galt Restaurant for a special meeting and banquet. Minutes were read, Ohio Soldier's Compensation discussed, and the post agreed to raise annual dues to 6 dollars and to sponsor a Majestic Exposition. New offices were filled and plans outlined for an auxiliary, a February meeting, and increased member dues and fines for reinstatement.
