Carey high school will play in the President's Birthday tournament in Upper Sandusky on Tuesday for the Warm Springs Anti infantile Paralysis Foundation. Examinations run today and tomorrow as the second semester begins Monday. The Hi Y club met and Hi Y boys planned future activities. Carey lost a close game to Marion St Marys 33 31 as Vanjue led scoring with 15 points.

Carey Men Escape Serious Injuries in Auto Crash
Four Snyder Lumber employees from Carey escaped serious injury after a collision at routes 15 and 330 Monday afternoon. Hood and Nusser drove the involved cars with two Carey riders and one Adrian resident aboard. Hood and Schneider suffered facial cuts and lacerations while King and Hood sustained head and hand wounds. Nasser was uninjured. Nasser, en route to Vanlue, skidded on icy pavement and failed to stop at the intersection, colliding with Hood.

Boy Burns While Trying to Put Out Fire
Paul England six year old son of Mr and Mrs Charles England of Ash street will stay home several more weeks with severe burns on his right leg. He burned after paper in a waste basket caught fire while he tried to douse the flames. Heavy corduroy pants and high top boots saved his life. He is in first grade at the West building.
