Last Monday the Kiwanis Club hosted telephone exchange girls with W E Bates presiding. Rev. W F Martin spoke briefly and communications from district and international headquarters were read about the State meeting at Liha next week. The library committee met to review book needs and approved about 7350 for expenditures. more meetings will finalize lists and spend the remaining funds.

Rebekah Installation After Dinner Gathering

Bishop ordains Earl M Criger at Trinity Church
The Rt Rev Chauncey B Brewer ordains Earl M Criger to the diaconate this morning in Trinity church New Haven. Criger, son of Mr and Mrs L S Criger west of town, is Ohio State 1920 graduate and studying at Yale graduate school. The service was at 11 o'clock and he joins the staff of Trinity Episcopal church.

Knights of Columbus Minstrel Show Set for February
The Knights of Columbus plan a minstrel show at Catholic Hall on February 8 and 9. Local talent will perform with Paul Krupp directing. Krupp served overseas with a band in World War I and has participated in two minstrel shows in the army. The band featured professional musicians and end men from professional companies.

Swine and Poultry Courses Announced for Community Farmers
Beginning January 15 ir Miller will lead a free swine management short course for local farmers, meeting 2 pm on the first five afternoons each week for three weeks. Death of William A. Perkins at 79 in Carey Ohio
William A. Perkins died at 7 45 AM Tuesday at his East Findlay street home after weeks of stomach and liver illness. Born June 16 1848 in Auglaize County he was 79 years 6 months and 23 days. Funeral at 2 PM at the Methodist church with Rev W F Martin and Rev J M Shimer. burial Spring Grove cemetery. Survived by wife Li Vonia Allen two sons R D Perkins and George A Perkins two daughters Nelle Wildermuth and Lulu deceased, plus two brothers and one sister. He was a Civil War veteran and longtime business man in Carey with a heading and handle factory and later a building contractor.
