Burglary Strikes Beck Block Flats Stays Unfound
Sometime between 6 30 and 10 00 pm last Thursday a burglar forced entry through an unlocked back door at the Beck block flat of Mr and Mrs Will Bloom and ransacked drawers and closets but left money untouched. Bloodhounds tracked the culprits Friday morning through North Street toward the post office near Kenetley s yard and Big Four tracks.

Death of Lewis G Hart in Dow Street area
Lewis G Hart, 38, died Sunday at his home on South Street after battling grip and illness eight days. He was a longtime employee at Ewing drug store and later bakery owner in Vanlue.
