Samuel Gordon 70-year-old dies at Vanlue home
Samuel Gordon died at his Vanlue home Sunday afternoon due to old age. Born March 23, 1840, he was 70 years 10 months 16 days. Survived by wife, five children including Laura Youngpeter, Carrie and Peter Hendricks, and sons Samuel and John Gordon. thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. brother James W Gordon of Osceola. Funeral held Tuesday afternoon conducted by Rev George Cox at Zion Bloom cemetery. Pallbearers included sons and sons-in-laws.
