Sheriff department reports detail two accidents. Dennis D England Carey involved in a Feb 4 one vehicle crash on state route 199 south of county road 42 at 5 45 am with no injuries. Auto skidded into a farm fence owned by Wyandot County Commissioners after being blinded by oncoming lights. Daniel Lee Chester of McCutchenville reported a Feb 5 crash on county road 587 after allegedly falling asleep. vehicle struck a Sycamore Telephone Company pole and damaged the right door and fender.

Carey Jaycees asked the Carey Village Council to back community improvement efforts including tree planting in parks with free trees from Lee Yentzer, rebuilding Waterworks Park tables, and finishing drainage at Memorial Park baseball diamond this spring. The council also reviewed bids for village materials and discussed curbing costs on Muncie Cleveland and West Streets at 245 per foot.
