Creeger Implement Co. nears completion of a rear storage addition on W North Street. The 42 by 100 foot concrete block structure will house storage for Tiffin plants moved to quarters just south of Route 12 near the city’s western edge.
A series of births across several states is reported. Twins born to Mr and Mrs James Brecht in Bowling Green weighed 5 pounds 13 ounces and 6 pounds 4 ounces. A son Robert Pearl Bremer born February 2 in Tiffin Mercy Hospital to Mr and Mrs Robert Borer, weighing 7 pounds 6 ounces. Another son born in Battle Creek Michigan to Mr and Mrs Raymond Schira, mother Jean McGuire, father son of C A Schira. they already have a 19 month old daughter Linda. A first child, son, born in Omaha to Cpl and Mrs William Robert Detwiler. mother Wilma Cole. A 7 pound daughter born to Sgt and Mrs Pat Killebrew in Wyandot Memorial hospital, named Linda Marie. they also have daughter Patricia Ann. Sgt Killebrew plans to depart for the Far East soon.
A February 15 fundraising dance at Moose hall will charge 30 cents admission with proceeds to the Wyandot county polio fund. Ball's orchestra of Upper Sandusky will provide music and donate services. tickets are available from Moose lodge members.
The Methodist Sunday school class will gather Sunday February 10 at 8 00 p m. Hosts include Mr and Mrs C J Adelsperger of the northeast Carey area and Mr and Mrs Charles Peters.
The Jennie Larmonth Missionary Society will meet at 8 p.m. Monday February 11 at the home of Mrs. George Newhard.
Carey to hold Dollar Days Friday and Saturday February 15 and 16 sponsored by the Carey Businessmen's Association with hundreds of items at reduced prices. Stores will stay open until 9 PM Friday to boost shopping opportunities and bargains for the community.
Residents north of Carey report two deer a buck and doe seen Friday and others sighted south of Carey near noon Saturday likely the same pair. Observers note the deer leaped fences gracefully across Lonsway Roszman Wenzinger Starr Ray Hunter farms and near the Swindler home.

E G Snyder underwent a second operation Tuesday morning at Blanchard Valley hospital. His wife remained with him Tuesday and Wednesday last week and again this week. On their 39th wedding anniversary last Thursday she visited and they shared a hospital supper.
The Rev. Ray Stevens secretary of the Bucyrus Kiwanis spoke to the Carey Kiwanis in Gibbins dining room tracing Boy Scout origins in England and the United States and stressing Scouting importance in today’s critical period.
Mr and Mrs Clarence Hagley of Carey and Mr and Mrs Robert Bland of Fostoria visited Huntington West Virginia to attend Lodge 136 Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen event. Hagley was chosen as a delegate to the national convention of the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen of America to be held in Los Angeles California in the week of August 18.
Mr and Mrs Charlie Boyce Mrs Herold Landoll and Sharon of Carey with Miss Jeannette Himmler of Findlay hosted and welcomed Pvt Charles Boyce son of Mr and Mrs Boyce. He flew from Detroit to Toledo then by bus and later left Canton by plane back to his camp.
Carey Woman's Christian Temperance Union and Hi Choir from First Methodist Church visited the Wyandot county home Sunday afternoon. Rev D V Whitenack spoke briefly while the choir directed by Mrs William Cole and piano by Glenda Gunther performed two anthems. A basket of fruits and two boxes of magazines were donated in the W C T U name.

K. O. P. News Carey Justus lodge No. 393 held its regular meeting at Castle Hall on Tuesday evening with C. Ira Hablitzel presiding. After the business session ice cream and coffee were served in the basement. The next meeting is set for Tuesday evening February 12.

A Carey village council meeting heard residents from W. South Lake and S. Muncie streets protest plans to cover the Spring Run behind the post office due to drowning risk. Bids for crushed stone were awarded to National Lime & Stone Co. Porcelain Products and Swan Rubber Co sought fire and lighting authorizations. John Mullholland paid fines for reckless operation after a prior case, and Robert Young resigned from a town post with a farewell party held.
Following a hearing in Columbus last Tuesday the Galt Hotel's D-5 license was suspended 90 days from February 6 to May 5. The action cites improper sterilization of equipment possession of obscene pictures and permitting disorderly conduct. Village Manager Ridley and Officer Tong testified briefly with Mayor Wagner not testifying.
The Carey WCTU will host a Frances Willard tea at 2 PM Friday February 8 at 344 E Findlay St. Mrs Samuel L Shockey will lead devotions with help from Mrs L E Offenbacher and Mrs Myrtle Perkins. New members will be received and the executive board report presented by Mrs George Shuman.
