Will of Joseph F. Wonder Probate Details

The 1917 will of Joseph F. Wonder probated Friday leaves Lot 28 in Buell's addition to Carey to his wife and Lot 22 to Justus Lodge Knights of Pythias for lodge funds to support his wife. Executors are H. A. Kear and his lodge successor. at the wife's death the real estate passes to the lodge.

Grand Jury Called for February Term of Court

The February term grand jury for the court of common pleas was convened Tuesday with Rev. W. C. Laughbaum of Nevada serving as foreman. Members from Carey and Crawford townships include S. A. Chesebrough L. M. Wender and D. C. Angus.

Father and Son Banquet Held by Wyandot Centers

Wyandot county centers host a Father and Son Banquet next Wednesday evening February 12 with a 6 30 PM meal. About 200 fathers and sons attended last year and the committee promises an appealing program headed by toastmaster W J Newhard. The event aims to strengthen father son ties through talks songs and calisthenics by high school boys and local clergy. Tickets should be bought in advance to ensure adequate meal preparation.

Last Thursday the Carey Farmers' Telephone stockholders elected G. A. Kemnerley as president H. V. Thomas as vice president J. A. Newcomer as secretary and S. A. Chesebrough as treasurer Re-elected directors are G. A. Kemersey A. R. Herbert and Edward Davidson The company will reorganize and increase stock to 20000 to 25000 with merger discussions likely afterward.

Red Cross Mobilizes Refugee Sewing and War Relief Efforts

Refugee sewing must be returned to Red Cross rooms by next Tuesday even if unfinished. A strong turnout of 16 sewers joined others working at home. Nurses living in box cars aided the Army of Occupation in Germany. The Red Cross runs sight seeing for wounded soldiers in London and introduces rag rugs in Italy. A Northern Pacific transport survivor found Red Cross canteen aid after grounding on Fire Island. Magazines dropped from planes lifted morale, and periodicals now reach the Army holding the Rhine.

Death of Mrs Wa Shock. grandmother of Rev J W Shock

Mrs Wa Shock of Van Wert died of heart trouble at almost 68. Funeral was held at Allen Town near Lima with burial beside the U B church. She leaves Rev J W Shock, 14 children with 11 living, 29 grandchildren and seven siblings.
