Town Board Purchases Electric Bonds to Cut Debt
The Board of Affairs reports the purchase of nine electric bonds located in Chicago and a Wisconsin town. This reduces outstanding bonds to 39,000 from 117,000 issued thirteen years ago. Some bonds may run twenty more years at six percent semiannual interest, saving the town 6,345 in interest. Bonds bought include numbers 113 117 118 121 122 120 124 80 and 84 with various amounts and due dates from 1942 to 1953.

Carey Railroad Men Meet at County Seat
The Carey Railroad Men's Association will gather in the courthouse assembly room at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 6.
