Louis Altwater aided the effort as several destitute families received articles and one child donated dolls with a tearful farewell. More items arrived and will be distributed today.

Fortunate For Once Severe Sleet Storm Flees Ohio
Last Thursday northern Ohio was visited by a severe sleet storm with a few fatalities. The writer traveled to Findlay and near High Banks around two o'clock when trees showed sleet on trunks and limbs. The temperature later rose and the storm failed to materialize.

A man claiming Oak Harbor origin sold a truckload of apples in town calling them King apples but buyers doubted the legality of his trade. Major Blue questioned his license status and the stranger offered to swear a affidavit claiming he had paid for the fruit himself.

Alice C Dugger aged 16 died at home near town from colitis after a three month illness. Born April 22 1908 in Marion Ohio she lived there most of her life before moving with family two and a half years ago. The Kiwanis Club gathered for a Monday luncheon with Rev. John W. Holland of Upper Sandusky presenting Yuletide Cheer. He traced customs to origins, noted American cheerful practices, and framed problems as opportunities.
