Missionary Session of Women’s Society Elects Officers
The Women’s Home and Foreign Missionary Society of the U. E. Church met at Mrs. W. M. Green’s home on December 15 1914 with Mrs. Frank Stroup as leader. Special music included a vocal solo by Mrs. Elna Jaccobs and a hostess recitation. Officers elected: President Rev. P. F. De Vaux Vice President Mrs. Jacob Stief Recording Secretary Mrs. E. F. Deer dies at park where first specimen lived
Cook, one of the park’s first deer, died Sunday night after two years of heart, liver, and lung trouble. He joined the park January 11, 191, and was brought from Upper Sandusky by Russell Zeis and Ray Thompson. Bald, the remaining deer, is “very lonesome” and a mate is urged to be arranged this season.

Joseph Warren Clason died at his Mt. Blanchard home on Monday of last week after a period of failing health. He was 87 years 3 months and 9 days old and is survived by his wife and a daughter, Miss Lilian.

Death of David Cramer in Carey area leaves family and band ties
Longtime Carey resident David Cramer died suddenly at home after feeling chest pains. Born in Venango County Pennsylvania in 1854 he lived in Akron Wharton Antwerp and Carey. He was a former photographist turned painter and paper hanger and a longtime member of the Carey band. Survived by wife Elva Bruce two brothers and four sisters. Funeral held at Main Street home with Odd Fellows pallbearers and burial in Wharton.

The Monday night meeting attended by Mayor Wonder and councilmen considered bills including Ft Wayne Electric Works and J T Edmonson. The People's Bank Co. bid $3000 Series Light bonds at par with accrued interest, the sole bid, and was accepted. The bank to print bonds cost $35. A claim from Ralph Wetling for horse damage was discussed. council offered $75 with H G Chambers proposing $100 and another week for consideration.
