Carey Water Supply Certified Satisfactory by Health Dept

The Ohio Carey public water works are certified satisfactory for interstate use after a health department inspection on December 6. Chemical tests show hardness about 19 grains per gallon with 65 ppm crustant, iron at 2 ppm, no manganese, and the water deemed sanitary. The letter commends the board of trustees for a modern, satisfactory system and informs the U S Public Health Service of certification.

McDaniel-Montague couple wed at Findlay street home

Mason Albert Ahlin Injured by Falling Scaffolding Plank

Albert Ahlin a 73 year old Chicago mason on the C O water softener project was seriously injured Sunday afternoon when a 45 foot fall of a 2 by 8 scaffold plank struck him. He suffered multiple broken ribs and a fractured vertebrae and was taken to Findlay Home and Hospital by Bristoll ambulance.

The orchestra held a Christmas party at Genevieve Dow’s home with a pot luck supper at 7. Miss Grace Woodford directed practice. gifts were exchanged, and there was singing and games. Attendees included Marjorie Kramer, Vincent Brown, Geraldine Simonis, Angela Haford, Caroline Kummerer, and others. Wharton teams will play local high schools Friday. The student council planned senior recognition for activity participants and met again to form a committee. Mrs Esther Kirschner of 544 Eastern avenue Toledo died Monday December 10 after a week illness from a paralytic stroke.
