The Hi Y club of Warey High presents a Christmas program Sunday at 8:00 p m in the school auditorium. The program features a pageant with roles for Spirit of Bethlehem Inn Keeper Angels Magi and the Holy Family plus readings and hymns led by Rev Wade H Koons and Vernon Huston Jr. with Mr Mulholland as adviser. It marks the 20th year of Hi Y Christmas service led by Mr Mulholland who previously advised Cadiz high school students.

Putnam Honorably Discharged After 32 Months Service
PFC Robert S. Putnam, son of Mrs. Corinne Putnam, was honorably discharged December 4 at Indiantown Gap Pa after 32 months in the U S Army. He served 26 months in Africa and Italy and the European theater with the 7th Army, took part in the invasion of Southern France, where he was wounded August 28 1944. He was wounded again October 30 in France. He earned the ETO ribbons good conduct Victory Purple Heart with oak leaf cluster and four battle stars.

Cecil Stark 2/c ship's fitter was discharged Friday November 30 in Toledo after 28 months with the Seabees. He trained at Camp Peary Camp Endicott Gulfport and Port Hueneme and spent 19 months welding on the Marshall Islands. He earned the American Defense Pacific War Victory ribbons and is the son of the late Mr and Mrs Theodore Stark of Carey. His wife Flo Coldiron has lived in Carey. they bought a home in Tiffin where he works as a welder for Hanson Clutch and Machinery Co.
