Mrs. Ralph Haferd hosted eight TRC Club members and two guests at her southeast Carey home for a Christmas potluck supper at 6 30 with a gift exchange. Mrs George Cressman entranced members of the Fortnightly Club last Thursday evening as she presented a detailed program on local history and community life. The talk highlighted notable residents, anecdotes, and archival photographs.
McCutchenville Wisconsin South Central Society of Christ? McCutchenville WSCS held its December meeting at St Pauls Methodist Church last Thursday evening. Mrs Clifton Coffman led worship with a Christmas hymn and Luke chapter two. Arlis Hablitzel chose The Power to Become from Witness Through Service for the program. Twenty members answered roll call and a gift exchange followed. Next meeting Jan 2 will include a grocery shower for Mrs Ronald Wagner Janet Mullholand prior to her marriage.
A large crowd attended the December meeting at the Catholic school cafeteria. Mrs. Yost won the attendance prize and Mrs. Myers drew the accumulating prize for the second month. Refreshments featured holiday decor and card games. The annual Christmas party with the K of C is set for December 20 with a committee led by Lonsway Messmer Mullholand Jacoby Hoops Oglesbee Orians Phillips Miller Smiley Walter Reinhart Nye and Clarence. An officers installation and potluck supper will occur January 7 with Mrs. Karcher and Mrs. Yost in charge. Miss Lortz hosted the H B Club with eleven members. prizes were awarded to several members and a door prize noted.
The hostess used a Christmas theme in decorations and served a delicious lunch. The January meeting will be at Mrs. Roscoe Row’s home with Mrs. Winfield Thomas in charge of entertainment.
Members of the Buenas Amigas Club gathered at Mrs. R. V. Clements home in Bellevue for a Thanksgiving season Christmas party. Secret pal exchanges, a potluck dinner, and a pinochle prize to Mrs. Clarence J. Hagley highlighted the event.
Mr and Mrs Dean Wisner near Lovell held a dinner on Sunday December 1 for her cousin Mrs Nora Patton of Knox Pennsylvania and Edward Vedder from Kittanning Pennsylvania. Other guests included Robert Woodruff and family David Timmy Ada Ronald Wisner and two Wittenberg University friends Springfield Missouri Allan Peggy Susan and Vickie Findlay plus George Hayman James Brecht Ann Nan and Linda Carey residents. Patton and Vedder visited the area from November 29 to December 3 before heading to Kentucky to visit friends and relatives.
Mrs. E. S. Burson hosted 14 Priscilla Club members at her home after a noontime luncheon at the Homestead. Mrs. William Peirce led the business session, and Mrs. Linus Myers reviewed the club’s history, noting its founding more than 50 years ago. The afternoon featured current events and refreshments. Mrs. Myers will host the next meeting on December 17.
Jean Thomas in northwest Carey hosted a Friday night slumber party after the Arcadia Vanlue game. Guests included Rosie Nolan Martha Keefe Janet Kring Barb Binger Jeanne Waggoner Sue Mandell and Alice Thomas. Diana Moser sent regrets. The girls danced and ate pizza with the late hour slumber portion starting at 4 a.m.
Ten members of the Trail Riders Pony Club held a December 4 meeting at the library with Ronnie Pahl presiding. Members made rope halters and decorative martingales for ponies and selected a trophy for the member with the most points by next fall. The next meeting is December 18 at the library.

Wallace Raymond Williams and Wanda Mary Poes Williams were married at Christ Lutheran Church. They will live with the bride’s parents in Fostoria until Christmas and then reside in Okmulgee Oklahoma. Williams will begin classes Jan. 3 at Oklahoma State Tech.
