Toledo Visitors Inspect Galt Hotel

Last Sunday the Wagenknecht family from Toledo visited the New Galt Hotel to inspect the new job of the head of the family. Mrs Wagenknecht stayed for the week and other relatives from Swanton and Toledo returned Sunday evening. The Christmas celebration will be held at the New Galt due to Mr Wagenknecht's hotel duties.

Annual Thank Offering Service at Memorial Evangelical Church

The Woman's missionary society will hold its annual thank offering service next Sunday forenoon at 10 45. Piano prelude by Mrs. Paul Powell followed by Hymn 253 sung by the congregation. A missionary address by Mrs. Frank Seifert of Marion and performances by Anita and Patty Lou Johnson, Betty Louise Bowman, and Mauvelyn Hendricks accompany the program. State Inspector Wisler Overlooks Smithville Bridge Project

D P Wisler of W Findlay street serves as state inspector on the Smithville bridge linking Upper Sandusky and Sycamore along Route 67. Construction began Monday for a three span concrete structure, located 150 feet north of the temporary bridge, with 2900 feet of the road to be straightened.

Santa will arrive on Findlay street at 3 00 p m in a new Ford truck and stay until 9 00 p m Saturday. Children with their names on paper handed to him receive a present, while all other youngsters get gifts per telegram. Carey hosts Christmas trees, white way posts, and a decorating contest with $1000 first prize, $500 second, and $300 third.

Stork Brings Two Babies to Local Families

An 80 pound son arrived Tuesday for Mr and Mrs Frank McKernan of Dow Street. A 6 pound daughter named Jeannine Odessa was born Tuesday morning to Mr and Mrs Cyril M Braun in their Keller apartment. Victor Reynolds, the newborns' uncle, turned 13 on the same day.
