Walter J. Essman 39, Ohio State University football coach, died when a Cadillac overturned after a collision with Miss Ella Merrick’s Overland Four near Carey road Upper Sandusky. Freddie Grim, OSU halfback, was injured but survived. he was taken to University Hospital in Columbus.

The Ladies Aid of Christ Lutheran Church met Wednesday with Mrs. T. W. Beatty. Officers were re elected for the year: President Mrs. Phil Henn, Vice President Mrs. Charles Wenner, Secretary Mrs. F. A. Galbroner, Treasurer Mrs. I. L. Culler. A bazaar and supper cleared 575 and will be held annually first week of December. Missionary Society followed with devotionals by Mrs. Anna Snyder and a lesson on race relations through the church. Refreshments were served by a committee led by Mrs. Beatty.

John Kitzler arrested Thursday night in Fremont on a serious charge brought by the mother of an 11 year old Carey girl. He was arraigned Saturday before Justice Jay Marguer and entered a not guilty plea. Kitzler was bound over to the grand jury and released on a $500 bond.
