Township farm bureau holds annual meeting and rally
About 150 farm people attended the Crawford-Ridge township farm bureau annual meeting and campaign rally at the high school auditorium. The program featured the farm bureau orchestra music reading by John Myers club achievement certificates for 35 youths and a club song. S. L. Moser spoke on county campaign plans. River claiming another life near Sandusky at McCutchenville
The Sandusky area near McCutchenville mourns a drowning after Marlowe Weininger, 15, son of Commissioner George A. Weininger, disappeared while hunting with Clarence Bland. Bland, 17, survived nearly frozen after the T and O G railroad bridge incident. Dynamiting the river failed to locate Marlowe, and his body was recovered Monday after grappling efforts began Friday night.
