Frank Winsinger of S Patterson Street remains at home recovering after a fall at the National Lime & Stone Company where he works as a lime inspector. He slipped while entering a car, cutting the instep and fracturing a bone, causing prolonged pain and slow healing after the incident about four weeks ago.
Saturday morning about 230 an auto driven by John Clark of four miles east of town was struck by an engine on the Big Four Main street crossing. The car headed west and was pushed about 30 feet before it could be stopped. Mr Clark and his father were just starting for Cincinnati when the accident occurred. Neither was injured and the automobile was not seriously damaged.
The Dairy Short Course meets Monday December 21 at 8 pm in the high school building. Agriculture instructor J R Reel invites attendees to take advantage of this opportunity.
About 40 men from the Lutheran church gathered at the home of Carl C. Heck for a social evening. H. G. Chambers chaired and led talks on the past year while teams captained by I. S. Burson and F. A. Galbroner competed in a spelling contest. An elaborate luncheon followed and attendees praised the gathering as enjoyable and refreshing.

The EC Harshberger meat market and grocery was purchased Wednesday forenoon at the sheriff's sale by Clem Alspach who bid $2000. Mr and Mrs Alspach, connected with the store for years, expect to reopen for business Monday.
Lyman Baker of Ohio State University Columbus won a cross country meet last week receiving a sweater as prize. He is the son of Virs Forrest Baker of northwest of Cares.
Mr and Mrs Frinh Long announce the birth of their daughter Helen Louise born Saturday at Lansing Vieh. The newborn is the granddaughter of Mr and Mrs In-Lliw Wround and Mrs Foof.

Olive Studebaker, daughter of a South Bend banker, filed for divorce from Peter Studebaker in Marion Ohio on grounds of cruelty and neglect. She alleges he forged her name on notes totaling 2200 while in Cincinnati and that he failed to provide and humiliated her by refusing to pay small bills.

Sullivan presented Welch a traveling bag on behalf of the committees. Welch expressed thanks. Carter spoke of Welch’s role in meetings and friendships formed.

A Sunday forenoon fire alarm rang as shingles burned on the roof of the W 7 Campbell residence on Findlay Street. Neighbors speculated the blaze started from the domimes and questioned whether nearby trees contributed to the fire.
