Chesebrough Cosgray Wedding Held at Chesebrough Home

Miss Madgie Alla Chesebrough and Dr. William John Cosgray of Toledo wed last Thursday at six in the Chesebrough residence with about fifty guests. Rev. G fl Priddy and Rev. Stewart Baumgardner officiated, music by family and friends followed a ring ceremony. The couple will reside in Toledo after December 15 at 3 Winthrop Terrace.

The Goodlove Case Verdict and Bail

The jury returned a manslaughter verdict in the Goodlove case after an indictment error altered the charge from murder in the first degree to second degree. Goodlove was released on a $5000 bail. a post verdict motion for a new trial will be heard Friday by Judge Broderick, with sentencing to follow if denied.

New Cigar Factory Opens in Carey by Slemmer and Campbell

Harvey Slemmer and Wm Campbell have bought out Loren Stahl and C L Gatton to start a new cigar factory in the rooms formerly occupied by Mr Stahl above Krupp Grine's meat market. Slemmer will visit nearby towns to place cigars while Campbell manages Carey operations. Gatton and Mrs. Gatton and Miss Rosalia Myers are employed in the shop with plans for more help as demand grows.

Imaginary Feast for Lutheran Sunday School Class

Mrs. P. E. Wonder hosted over thirty Bible Class members last Thursday evening in a playful supper party. Guests solved irregular card puzzles, enjoyed six course menu cards, and took part in lighthearted games including soap suds soup and a bubble blowing contest.

Will Move to Town

Joseph E. Myers of northeast of the city has rented the house of Mrs. H. B. Hagesfeld across from the new Catholic church and will move here soon.

The Lucky Man at Wesley Patterson’s drawing

At Wesley Patterson’s furniture store a sewing machine prize drew a large crowd with over 800 registered. A little girl drew names, ten tickets were drawn before a winner was found, and J J Zint became the lucky man after a man diligently searched his pockets for the hidden ticket. The machine was placed on a dray for delivery as the crowd watched.
