Two 13 year old Carey boys will appear in juvenile court after allegedly admitting to puncturing 15 tires from 9 vehicles and two school buses in Carey High School parking lot last Thursday during a class play. A third youth is implicated but not charged. Police say parents will be held financially responsible.

The Carey Philharmonic Society will present its 1965 Christmas Concert Sunday December 12 at 8 p.m. in the Carey High School auditorium directed by Miss Grace Metzger with Mrs Eugene Orians on piano. Retarded Children School hosts a Christmas program December 15 at 1 p.m. in the basement of First Methodist Church featuring two scenes and musical interludes by Jon Rees. Local church choirs and individuals join in carols and songs, culminating with audience participation in traditional favorites and a final Christmas song medley.

Mrs Lena Elchert of route 1 New Riegel died at 1 am Sunday December 5 1965 in Bryant Indiana while visiting friends. Born January 17 1887 in New Riegel she married Joseph Elchert May 16 1905. he died 1939. Survived by four sons Eugene Carl Louis Paul. four daughters Isabelle Bumb Agnes Piper Rita Straub Cordelia Sendelbach. a half brother Elmer Karch. 30 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Requiem High Mass at 9:30 am today at St Boniface Catholic Church New Riegel with burial in the church cemetery.
