Funeral services for Boyce Ander son 33 of Sytamore tallied after a milk truck collision with a train near Republic Tuesday. Williamson routs Loczan 47 to 0 on Thanksgiving night

Mrs Retta Greeno and daughter Edith joined Mrs Greeno’s parents in Williamson for Thanksgiving. Edith attended the football game with cousins Roberta and Lorell Caton as Williamson defeated Loczan 47 to 0. A victory dance at the Cinderella hotel followed with Miss Greene guest of Miss Roberta Eaton and escorts Frank Kimball and Homer Jackson, the Williamson High School drum major.

Couple Injured in Weekend Auto Collision

Mr and Mrs George Fox and Harold and Catherine England were injured Saturday night November 27 in a two car wreck on the way home from care. John Guttenberg of Route 23 drove the other car with no injuries. Both vehicles sustained damage, Fox car suffering the most.

Lutheran Missionary Society Meeting Report

The Woman's Home and Foreign Missionary society of Christ Lutheran church met Wednesday afternoon at Miss Stella Nye's home. Despite the cold, attendance was good. Mrs Almon Blue led devotionals and Mrs Elmer Wonder led the study on The Road to Peace. The meeting closed with a missionary benediction. the next gathering is scheduled for the second Wednesday in January at Mrs E Kurtz's home.

W S Huffman, principal of Carey high school, was named Thursday by the board of education to succeed W S Arn holt as superintendent. Arn holt resigned for a Bellevue post. Huffman assumed duties Monday after 90 years as principal.

Fourth grader undergoes nose growth removal operation

Jane Anne Tittle daughter of Supt and Mrs Earl B Driver was moved from Grant hospital Colum bus to the home of her grandparents in Mt Vernon after a nose bridge operation to remove a growth. She is reported improving though the procedure was more serious than first thought. Friends of the Drivers and the child are hoping for a speedy recovery.
