Band Mothers Meet and Plan Movie Fundraiser
Twenty four members answered roll call Monday evening when the Carey Band Mothers met in the high school band room. A French horn quartet and a clarinet quartet performed, then business was conducted by president Mrs. Melvin Hotel fling. Plans were set to sponsor the movie Goodsraing on January 15 16 and 17 at the local theatre and the December committee was named. Next meeting will be January 9 due to New Year’s Day.

Carey volunteers donated 109 pints of blood Tuesday as the Red Cross bloodmobile from the Cleveland district visited Our Lady of Consolation School auditorium. Mrs. Clarence Hagley chaired the drive. Nine donors were rejected. Staff praised the new auditorium for seating and ventilation. Names of donors and helpers will be published next week.

Two Men Sentenced at Hearings Before Judge Kear
At hearings before Judge Russell H. Kear on Nov 26 two men faced legal action. Youth Held for Federal Charge After Car Theft
