Christ Church Celebrates 97th Anniversary Honors 50 Year Members
Christ Church marked its 97th year with a Sunday worship service attended by 336. It honored 22 members with 50 years or more of continuous membership. Recipients included Mrs. Herbert Newhard and Mrs. Jackson Soper among others with 51 to 64 years. Two 50 year members were not named this year. Frederick Williams and wife rejoined from Findlay.

Truck Crash Causes Livestock Loss Near Upper Sandusky
Myron H. Ara of Dunkirk escaped injury when a tractor-trailer overturned on Route 30N two and a quarter miles west of Upper Sandusky. The truck spilled livestock. 12 hogs valued at 286 dollars and 25 lambs valued at 594 dollars were killed. Damaged truck estimated at 3,000 dollars. Fire call to James Spencer home ends with no blaze
Firemen were summoned to the James Spencer residence on the Ray P. Hunter farm south of Carey after 11 am Monday when wallpaper in the living room felled to an overheated stovepipe. The fire was out before their arrival, delayed by a caller who gave only the old Peirce farm without an address and hung up.
