Carey Schools Set to Begin Tuesday September 5
The Carey school board announces opening day Tuesday September 5 with a 1 30 p m teachers meeting the high school hosts the ninth grade registration. Due to a short term last year most of the coming term focuses on completing 1932 33 work before promotions. Grade placements shift with advancing pupils while West building houses first to fourth graders west of the Big Four. Rural pupils and textbook lists are outlined with grade by grade book requirements.

Patricia Jane Myers aged 17 months died Friday afternoon at 223 West Clay Street از cause acetyl dynia. She was ill since summer and four weeks seriously ill. Born near Carey March 16 1982 she leaves parents a sister Mary Louise and grandparents J T Myers and Florent Day. Funeral at Our Lady of Consolation Church with burial in St Marys Cemetery. Pool Resumes As Local Bass Rearing Project
Work has resumed on the black bass rearing pool south of town built by Earl Green Post American Legion. Three teams excavate and seven men are employed. The pool will rear bass for stocking streams in the area as part of the post conservation program funded by hunting and fishing license fees.

William Leader Dead at Dayton Home After Sudden Heart Ailment
William Leader formerly of Carey died Friday forenoon at 10 30 in the National Military Home Dayton where he had lived recent years. Born Vanlue June 26 1869 he was son of Cornelia and John Leader and leaves two brothers George Leader Vanlue and Calvin Leadger Findlay. Interment at St. Paul Cemetery near Vanlue followed services conducted by Rev. Paul R. Clouser at the funeral home.

Morin Brothers Enter Fostoria Speed Boat Races
Al Morin of this place and his brother Ray Morin of AHrie Mich will race on the one mile course at the Fostoria reservoir on Labor Day. Each uses a Century Cyclone powered outboard motor with 32 and 48 horsepower. Entrants count stood at 60 last Sunday with more expected. Al pledges a ride to Carey friends if his boat stays intact after the race. Last year he was involved in a dramatic wreck on Lake Erie.
