PTA president Robert Hale announced committees for the new school year at a high school meeting. Appointments include program Mrs ware Wenner director and Mrs Jerome Bernard as room mothers, attendance and membership led by Barriet Callahan and Charles Shaffer, music by Mrs Jerry Blackburn and Alfred Haga, hospitality by Mrs Paul Wonder and Mrs Richard Spayd, health by Mrs V McKee and Mrs Carson Canade, safety by Vincent Jacobs and Carroll Cooper, publicity by Mrs C Rutter and Mrs Leon Davenport, legislative by Douglas Myers and Cloyce Wenthing. Membership drive starts at school opening and runs through open house in October. The theme is Blueprints For Living with September featuring vocational education Designing the Blueprint. Free babysitting will be available for meetings.

Six members of the Carey Volunteer Fire Department traveled to Montplier last Thursday to draft plans for the Northwestern Ohio Volunteer Firemen's Convention scheduled for June 17 and 18 1966 in Carey The meeting listed attendees Chel Owen Wispus Richard Kurtz James Draper Al Hucke Don Stover and Donald Hunter The parade will start the events followed by a large turnout Chief Wilgus estimates 15000 to 25000 attendees and about 5000 marching band members The event is expected to boost Carey business and the city urges citizen cooperation for what will be the largest convention staged in Carey.

Falls at swimming pool injures boy near home

Police Investigate Two Local Accidents in Carey
The Carey Police report two accidents last week with no injuries. Michael A Warner 18 of Carey driving a 1958 Chevrolet failed to stop at Vance and South as Franco Moscone 16 of Detroit failed to see a red signal, causing a left side hit and $25 damage to Warner and $350 to Moscone Ford. A separate incident at 1:50 pm involved a 1948 sedan towed to Silverstein’s yard after brake failure. it ran over its tow chain, knocked down a stop sign and a street sign, costing $1,750. Officer Harold Coppler led the investigation.
