Members of Earl Green Post No 344 American Legion attended the state convention in Canton. Delegates were Orville Wohlgemuth and Clarence Suber. Post Commander L L Bland and Mervin Shafer as alternates. Russell Gottfried Charley Boyce William Spackey and George Schneider also attended. Shafer and Bland left Sunday morning and returned Tuesday evening. The others traveled by a bus owned by the post driven by James Gibson, leaving Carey Saturday evening and returning Sunday evening after the Canton parade. The Mills Bros 3 ring circus, sponsored by the Carey fire department, offers two performances this Thursday afternoon and tonight at the show grounds on W North Street. The local group receives 50 percent of all adult tickets sold before each show. The program features aerialists, acrobats, tumblers, dogs, ponies, monkeys, goats, and trained horses led by Goliath the world’s largest elephant weighing five tons and twelve feet tall.

Car Sideswipes Injure Mrs Cole on Route 103
