45 Men Leave for Army From Wyandot County
A list of 45 registrants from Wyandot County answered the call to service on Tuesday noon, with many 1-A men selected for induction and a two week leave to follow. The group travelled by bus to Columbus for final examinations and include names from Carey Upper Sandusky Sycamore Nevada and Harpster with another 49 registrants anticipated in a near future call.

Mrs. R Poland of 600 N Detroit Bellefontaine is one of four Blue Star Mothers in the city. Her three sons Carl W 24 Ivan R 20 and Harold L 18 serve in the U S Navy. Daughter Dorothy 22 works at the Navy yard in Norfolk Va. The Bellefontaine Chamber of Commerce reported the family to Blue Star headquarters via the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
