H. B. Kurtz Sons Co. plans a move to the Kurtz building two doors west of its current Cosgray Street location. Death of Miss Minnie Friend Shocks Carey Community
Miss Minnie Friend aged 67 died Friday night after severe illness while en route to visit her sister. Bystanders and community members identified her at the scene and at a funeral home. Coroner ruled heart trouble. burial followed services at Roy Montague home with burial in McCutchenville cemetery.

Mrs Charles Bakies Returns Home After Train Injury
Mrs Charles Bakies was brought home from Findlay Home and Hospital last Thursday in an invalid coach after two weeks of recovery from injuries from being caught under a Big Four freight train while crawling between cars. One vertebra was cracked and she wears a cast but she can walk and is improving nicely.
