Evangelical Homecoming at St. Paul Church
The annual Home Coming of the Carey Evangelical charge was held at St. Paul church west of town with morning and afternoon services. Rev. C. L. Kern preached an impressive sermon in the morning on The Tie That Binds, and again in the evening on The Signs of Christ's Coming. Subscriptions were taken to aid the Lorain Evangelical church rebuilding after a tornado. A noon dinner on the church lawn fostered fellowship.

Excitement on Alvada Farm as Weasel Spooks Team
A weasel sighting near the A P Popenberg farm two miles west of Alvada led to a frightened team. Harold Phillips, 12, was knocked down as the horses bolted and the binder was wrecked. Mr. Phillips was thrown while restraining the team. Mrs. Phillips narrowly escaped injury. Harold suffered bruises but no serious injuries.

A Monday evening meeting in Roland McDowell's office formed a group to build affordable houses on easy terms. S. A. Cheseberbough was named president and H. G. Death of Mrs Anna Kennerly Noted in Local Obituary
Mrs Anna Kennerly died at 8:00 Tuesday at her son-in-law and daughter C H Hulls home east of town from a long illness. Funeral at 2:00 this afternoon at the residence with C X Ditler and Rev J W Shack of Columbus Grove officiating. Interment in Spring Grove cemetery and six grandsons as pallbearers. Born August 30 1836 in Schuylkill county Pa she moved to Crawford county Oh at age 13 and married Henry Kennerly February 7 1861. Survived by seven children, 25 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and several Bresler relatives. Her family included veterans in Mexican War Civil War Spanish American War and World War I.
