John Zahn superintendent of the Wyandot county home died suddenly at the Wasi house in Upper Sandusky age 61. He was born December 19 1852 in Salem township and leaves many siblings, relatives, and friends. funeral services were held at North Salem Lutheran church with a Carey quartet and final burial in the church cemetery.

Stolen Chevrolet Readster Recovered Near Dunkirk
A Chevrolet readster belonging to O F Long of Dunkirk was stolen from in front of the Galt Hotel Wednesday night about 11. The car was later found near John S Fox home, south of town. Fox reports a young man drove off in it with no gas. The thief remains at large.

Narrow escape as Deshter man hit by B and O train

An immense crowd capped Carey’s annual summer pilgrimage to Our Lady of Consolation Shrine on Sunday August 17. Pilgrims from Cleveland Toledo Detroit and multiple states joined locals in a cross national procession led by a flag and cross. Despite vast attendance there were no accidents.
