Elmer Hunter relocates his tobacco business from S Vance Street to the H L Tracy room just east of the Big Four.
Carey Tires travel to Willard for a strong contest as Willard fields a solid team. The matchup promises a competitive game and likely high effort from both sides.
Home from New York LW D McDonald reports on the Moose national convention with 10 000 marching along Fifth Avenue and a keynote by Supreme Dictator Marakle praising Mooseheart Moosehaven and future goals. A subway platform incident abruptly ends the pleasant notes, as a woman threw herself under a train.
Streets along Patterson and S Vance have been resurfaced with four inches of stone and compacted. Drains were added to remove surface water, and trash removal along S Vance has improved the right of way. Residents note remodeled houses and trees, though persistent trash piles and weed growth remain a nuisance.
Police officer Tong located a touring car with Michigan plates abandoned in a ditch near Bigelow Chapel. On Monday a Michigan party claimed the vehicle, saying one of their group drove it on Saturday when a radius rod broke, forcing the driver to abandon it for safekeeping.
The annual Home-Coming of the Evangelical charge takes place next Sunday at St Paul Church. Rev C L Kern will preach in the morning service at 10 30 and also speak in the afternoon program at 2 00. The afternoon program is prepared following the morning sermon.

Mr and Mrs H B Keller and Mr and Mrs L L Patterson attended the funeral of Guido Robin son on Sunday at his home near Ostrander. Burial took place in the Marysville cemetery.
The village council met with Mayor Blue presiding. Minutes list numerous July disbursements from Snyder Lumber Co. and Logan Gas Co. to laborers, materials, and services for streets, water, and town facilities. Mayor’s July report was accepted and meeting adjourned to two weeks.
Peter Krupp elected delegate to the state convention of the C. K. of O. to be held in Fremont in September. J. N. Schira named as alternate. Carey plans a large delegation to honor the shrine church's new window gift from the state organization.
The Pioneer Picnic is set for today at Stoll's Grove east of Crawford. A. P. Sandles will provide the afternoon address and the Fos toria Ladies Band will perform.
Mrs Robert Drake died Wednesday at the William Donelson home where she was taken after a fall last Sunday evening that caused a hip fracture.
The women of Mooseheart Legion are urged to attend the regular meeting next Tuesday evening due to important business to be transacted.
Free Scourse who sold his pool room to Andy Bakies plans a barber shop at the Galt House. An outside door has been cut into what has been the writing room.
The W. C. TE. U. will meet Friday at 2:00 pm at the home of Mrs. W. G. Bradley.
Perry Bland born October 3, 1864 in Wyandot county died after a hemorrhage Sunday at age 59 years 10 months. He married Serena Stratton March 31 1890 and is survived by wife a son Lawrence four brothers and one sister. Funeral Tuesday at 2 PM at the home with Rev W F Martin conductin burial in Spring Grove cemetery. Pallbearers included Marion Bland Paul Bland Myron Bland Forest Bland Lloyd Rife and Harry Rife.

The Pahl reunion at Water Works Park elected officers for the coming year: Mrs John Pahl president, Mrs Henry Pahl secretary and treasurer, with Mrs Jesse Stombaugh Mrs Dan Simonis and Mrs Charles Pahl on the program committee. A dinner and program followed by social time marked the event. The next reunion will be held the first Sunday in August at the same venue. Attendees included Leopa Zender and many Pahl relatives from Tiffin Lima Delphos Upper Sandusky Dayton and surrounding areas.

Among them were Riley Alter Dr Joe Alter Frank Alter Mrs Elmer Kennedy of Parnassus Pa Mrs J R Alter of Tiffin Miss Vivian Lepard Attica Miss Hallie John Michigan Mrs Margaret Southward and daughter Nellie nearby resident W H Vanderhoff Findlay former neighbor and friend.
The August pilgrimage to Our Lady of Consolation opens next Saturday and runs through Sunday August 17. Large crowds are anticipated with two trains from Cleveland on the 15th and possibly a third. Additional special trains will come from Columbus and Detroit on the 17th.
The infant son of Mr George Smith and Mrs Smith was christened Paul George Sunday with Rev Father Ignatia officiating. Sponsors were Mr and Mrs E W Brown of Columbus.
A newborn daughter arrived Wednesday for Mr and Mrs Harold Houk weighing ten percent of a pound. The event marks a modest addition to the Houk household reported by local observers.
In Wyandot county the Democratic candidate Jay Marguerat seeks election to the State Senate. Rev and Mrs Lewis P Speaker departed Monday for Louisville Kentucky to visit Mrs Speaker's mother Mrs IXahn. A dance hall at Midway Park was struck by lightning Wednesday night and the hall and surrounding buildings were destroyed by fire.
A scaffold collapse at the Our Lady of Consolation church construction site in Carey caused William W. Martin of Columbus to die after injuries from a steel lath load. Edward Davis survived. Martin’s death follows a Friday accident that also left him with a broken hip and head lacerations. Funeral plans were set for Monday in Columbus with interment at Canal Winchester.
The fourth quarterly conference will be held at the Methodist church on Thursday night August 14 with Dr C G C Peale presiding. Dedication of the new church is fixed for September 21 to 28 with Dr A E Smith of Ohio Northern University Ada present September 21 and Bishop Theodore S Henderson present September 28. A full week program includes an organ recital by Don H Coupe land, a youth play, a Ladiza Aid supper, a church fellowship hour, visiting pastors, and a later announcement. The Findlay district conference follows, as Bishop Henderson stays for sessions. farewell services set for September 14 in the old church.
Kiwanis members gathered Monday for fellowship and club matters with no speaker. Delegates will be chosen soon for the district convention in Canton in September. Carey members attended the Kenton Kiwanis affair Tuesday with northwest Ohio Kiwanis present in the Chautauqua tent. Dr W oN Johnson presided as temporary chair and P B Emerine drew the prize donated by Johnson. The usual luncheon is set for next Monday.
The WBA of the Maccabees invites members to a picnic at Bernard O'Brien's this evening. Attend with family and a well filled basket. Meet at the Rest Room at 6:00 pm and transportation will be provided to those without.
J B Schira of Brooklyn visited his brother Joe Schira in this city after traveling to Ohio where their sister Mrs Adam Hirth died last week at her home in Fostoria. Schira had not been in the locality for 24 years.
Robert Drake, who sold his residence at Frederick and High streets to W. E Montague, plans a small rear house facing Frederick street and will occupy it when finished.
