Troops 22 and 29 returned Friday after a week at Camp John A. Owens six miles southwest of Marion. Arthur S. Brooks presided at a Court of Honor. awards were given to Troop 22 and 29 for life saving merit badges and second class ranks. Car Collision Injures Dill After Late Night Swerve
Saturday night about 12 30 the Clarence Kennerley family traveling south on the library road were in a Ford sedan that was struck by a Ford Hight owned by Charles Noon. James Black drove the Noon car with Dale Platt and James Dill as passengers. The Kennerley car overturned after skidding around the Noon vehicle near John Fleck farm. James Dill suffered a broken jaw but others escaped serious injury. he received care from Dr S R Bame and stayed with his parents Mr and Mrs George Dill.

Gail Lanker of Carey won the second race in 56 minutes 39 seconds at 65.6 mph and also won the 15 mile feature in 16 minutes 40 seconds at 58.5 mph with Ross Johnson as starter.
